Pole star train to Sapa

Hello

A tour agent recommended the pole star overnight train to Sapa. I looked at their website, it just looks like its the King Express train to Sapa with their Pole-Star train staff.

Has anyone tried them, is it any different than just booking the normal deluxe King Express train? Are we guaranteed to get the nicer King Express carriages?

Any help will be helpful

Thanks

Doris

From my own experience, the naming of these train carriages seems to be interchangeable. You should cross check prices for these carriages before you book since the difference in price is often just an agent fee. I was on both Livitrans and King Express, and I thought King to be just as nice as the ';supposed'; brand new Livitrans. I paid $25. for a 4-berth trip last March.

The agency I use allows clients to pay once they%26#39;ve arrived in Hanoi - saving any transfer fees or credit card mess. I use www.adventureindochina.com

Hi there, I took the pole star train on Sunday night to Sapa, the Pole star is a new company which have recently purchased the TSC VIP train and renamed to the Pole Star express. I was happy with the service and the bed.

The agent I used in Hanoi was Viet 098 305 1577, he has great prices and he will deliver your tickets to a great little cafe called www.thehanoihouse.com Viet also delivered me to the train and put me in my cabin.

He is a very trustworthy gentleman.
