relaxing place to stay with good night life???

Hi! I was orignally going to be traveling Vietnam, Laos and ko Saumi - Ko Samui just so we could relax for a week and party up a bit on the beaches ect before we went home, instead we have deside to stay longer in Vietnam and I was hoping to find out where would be good to stay for, the night life and beaches. We are planning on going to HCMC, Nah Trang, Hanoi and Vang Vieng. Where else would you suggust to stay for an extra week instead of mucking around with flights from Laos to Thailand?

I loved Phuket so if there is anywhere similar to that in Vietnam I would prob like.
