Best pool + best location???

Hi all. Will have just 2 nights in Hue in July with husband and 12 yr old son. Can anyone advise on the hotel with the best pool and best location given I have my son and it will be very hot. Choice is out of Pilgrimage, Imperial or La Residence. All similar quotes. Than you

Best pool + best location???

The Pilgrimage Village Resort is quite far from the city center (7km).

Would recommend La Residence for its location, decor %26amp; services - especially its nice pool with salt water.

Best pool + best location???

La Res is a good hotel with great service but Imperial is also a good choice as this hotel has a very good location and view over the city and Huon river, rates at Imperial are always better.

Pilgrimage Village is absolutely wonderful though it is out of town a bit but they have a shuttle bus that runs all the time. Never felt isolated and it was a wonderful respite after the heat and bustle of the city and touring.

I travelled with my 10 year old son in June and we just loved Pilgrimage Village.

The pool is huge and the staff are wonderful and made such a fuss of my son.

We booked through Ivivu travel and got really good rates at $65.00 per night which was much cheaper than rack rates.

It is quiet and relaxing and they have a sensational spa facility. You won%26#39;t be disappointed. I also looked at some other hotels including the La Residence but they are really just big hotels. The rooms at Pilgrimage are large with a lovely lounge and outside balcony area in amongst beautiful gardens.

Seems the La Residence suits you best. Any way, plan B for me is Pilrimage, not the Imperial.

Good luck!

Hi There,

If you know your dates in July, and you would like to stay at LaResidence, the Accor sale finishes tonight at 12pm, and they had rooms there for $46US p/n.

We got LaVeranda in PhuQuoc for 4 nights in April at the same price.

Cheers,Sandy

I think the sale may be over - but it might be worth a try or a phone call.

Sorry, I think you may have missed out.

Sandy

Imperial is no doubt out of the list. It%26#39;s very much depend on what is ';best';. I would straighly go for Pilgrimage. Yes it%26#39;s not in the center but there is nothing to do (especially with a child) at night in Hue. In case you do want to go out at night, the hotel offer shuttle bus or they can arrange a taxi at only more than a dollar. Pilgrimage is a resort style and has two excellent pool. The staff are the best. Also, the rooms are so spacious and there would be no problem at all for your child extra space. You%26#39;ll love the place. La Residence is also great, BUT it is too serious with a child.

Thanks all, but, I ended up getting the best value price out of all of them and, for a large suite room, at La Res. Might not be best for an 11yr old boy but...only two nights. Will blog after trip to let you all know though. Thanks for all the generosity with advice!!!!
