Jewel of the Bay and Bao Khanh

Hi All,

We%26#39;re travelling to Vietnam in July and are going on an Intrepid tour of Hanoi and Halong Bay (4 day 3 night). Staying at the Bao Khanh in Hanoi (for 2 nights either side of Halong Bay trip) and on the Jewel of the Bay Junk on Halong Bay (for 1 night). Has anyone stayed at either? What%26#39;s the accommodation like at the Bao Khanh and onboard? Is it safe to leave your main bags at the Bao Khanh in Hanoi when travelling to Halong Bay for the night? Any feedback would be great!

Bao Khanh Hotel at Bao Khanh Street is good one. I had book that hotel for our clients and had no complaint about that. OPrice is very suitable, too

If you go to Ha Long Bay and sleep on boat, it is really great. You choose your right way. I approve with you.

It does not matter when you leave you main bag at the hotel. But for your special things(exp: passport, money, air tickets, ...) you should bring with you at anytime. It is much better.

For anyone else in the future who reads this post DO NOT STAY AT BAO KHANH hotel in Hanoi. The receptionist guy, Thanh Duy Ng, STOLE my phone and later admitted to stealing my belonings whilst under his %26#39;protection%26#39; at reception. DO NOT STAY AT BAO KHANH HOTEL!! The more i talk to people the more have found that this feminine looking guy makes a habit of stealing from hotel guests!
