Accomodation for Family of 5

Can anyone help with places they have stayed or know of in Hanoi that is suited to kids (8-13yrs) We would ideally like a pool to keep the kids ammused and somewhere for us to chill out, we do not really want ';oldies'; accomodation but not totally wild either, any advise on accomodation/trips etc. (especially Haolong Bay) would be much appreciated

depends what your budget is...but going on our exchange rate ate the moment and our NZ and Aussie dollars dropping against the US you may find yourself in the same boat as us - trying to do it on a budget!

If you want a pool and %26lt; USD$100/night then The Hanoi Paradise Hotel or the Army hotel are about your only options

Hi We stayed at the Hanoi Paradise hotel last July 08, originally we booked the family room (sleeps 5), but changed it when we got there to a triple and a double as our kids prefered to have their own room. (So did we!!!)

The Paradise has an indoor pool, which the kids throughly enjoyed after being out in the heat. The Paradise is situated in the old quarter and was about a 10 -15 min walk to the lake.

Hi,The hotel you can stay in Paradise or elegande hotel,That is good for your family.And Ha Long bay tour have 2 option : Ha Long Phoenix cruiser(price from 79 to 99$ for 2 days 1 night) and Bhayha for deluxe Junk.That is very good junk !

How about Frasers Suite by the West Lake, its brand new and they do have a pool.

I have not stayed there but know the surrounding area pretty well. Theres a supermarket in the same building and several restaurants within walking distance. Taxi ride to the Old Quarter is about 10min.
