Food Delivery in Ho Chi Minh City

Hey Gang,

I know, I know. It does not make a lot of sense to opt for food delivery in Sai Gon when there are so many choices just a few paces away from me, but sometimes I am busy working and/or too lazy to shower, get dressed, and walk around in search for a good meal.

Along those lines, I would like to start a thread for food delivery in Ho Chi Minh City. I know that

Annie%26#39;s Pizza

45 Mac Thi Buoi

District 1

Tel: (84-8) 839 2577

delivers pizza, at least in the Dong Khoi area. I have not asked them if they deliver to the Pham Ngu Lao area yet.

There is also a ridiculously good kebab/felafel stand called Arab Kebab Shop. The shop also delivers.

Arab Kebab Shop

9B Thai Van Lung

District 1

Tel: (84-8) 920 3483

These are the only two shops that I have direct experience with food delivery in Ho Chi Minh City. I have searched online for delivery spots but the results have been pretty thin. For anyone interested, I did see this list of food places in Ho Chi Minh City, some of which deliver: www.asialifehcmc.com/鈥?/a>

Do any of you guys have direct experience with food delivery in the city? Thanks a ton.

Cheers,

Philip Arthur Moore

We had a brochure from friend and ordered food once when we were in HCMC. Foods were very tasty but waited for almost an hour. We were so hungry and thought it would have been much faster to walk out and eat. Forgot where I place that brochure.

Agree with you that it is nice to have foods arrived in the comfort of your room. While waiting I can make at least 10 posts in TripAdvisor ;-)

Plus in Saigon (and any city)When I get hungry and feel lazy , I alway can ask the hotel staff to go to the particular restaurant (a phone call ahead is a good idea)and take the food to my room and a small tip will be a good thank you gesture to him/her.

Annies is now in Hai Ba Trung and Arab Kebab closed down. Alot of the delivery menus can be found on:

Thanks Jonny! Yeah, I called Arab Kebab a few weeks ago and could not reach them - sorry for posting that wrong information.

I%26#39;ve lived here for 5 years and have yet to find a reliable home delivery service. Every single restaurant I%26#39;ve used has let me down at some point - late delivery, wrong order, bad quality food etc. Chez Guido is best of a bad bunch.

With 6 expats in the office we have food deilvered here continually. Au Parc, Bobby Brewers, Juice are reliable always we have found, for Indian: Saigon Indian is great and once you have had one delivery from Al Frescos you in the system (been getting there stuff for over 10 years now, here and Hanoi)

Saigon Indian took 90 minutes to deliver my order last time, despite being 5 minutes from my house. I sent the food back %26amp; refused to pay, and they phoned me up and yelled at me afterwards.

I remember now. Thanks Duxton. We ordered from Chez Guido.
