Does anyone know what the fee is for Visa to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam for US Citizens and Vietnamese born? Thank you!
Visa for US citizens visiting Vietnam
Assuming you%26#39;re going to the San Francisco consulate?
The price can vary, but this is what it was a couple of months ago:
$45 for single entry visa for 2 day turnaround and $65 for same day turnaround.
Don%26#39;t bother calling, because they never pick up the phone. Just go down there (earlier is better) and line up at the window. It%26#39;s open from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM on weekdays.

Thank you! I believe the rate went up. I am having trouble trying to find the updated rate. I actually just called the Vietnam Consulate and the person that answered the phone gave me the rate of $55 single entry and a ridiculous amount of $150.00 for multiple entry.
I am flying into to Ho Chi Minh city then taking a flight to Thailand and returning to Vietnam. That鈥檚 considered multiple entry, right? Yikes! Help! :X

You need a multiple-entry visa; we paid $90usd for multiple-entry/per passport when we went in Sept 07
Applying in person at the Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco is your best option
Oh, I%26#39;m glad you didn%26#39;t listen to me then! I tried calling quite a few timesback in November and could never get through, so figured they just never pick up.
$150 is a lot, but I guess you don%26#39;t really have a choice since if you head out to Thailand then you%26#39;ll definitely need a multiple entry. Good luck!
i went to vietnam in september/october 2007 too but my travel agent included the visa with the air ticket. this time, this agent im using is not including it. she asked for $110.00 for multiple entry. sounds like a lot. i guess i%26#39;ll have to go to the consulate. grrr! Thanks for all your assistance!
I noticed some comments on the San Fran Consulate here. Does anyone know if you can walk in and obtain the visa on the same day?
beemail, Vietnamese-born citizens of foreign countries do not need a visa, nor do their wives and children. See the details on the following link:

Non-Vietnamese US citizens can apply for a visa on arrival, which will cost somewhere in the region of $78 for multiple entry. For previous discussions and information on the subject, type %26#39;visa on arrival%26#39; in the forum search box above.
