howdy dudes, heading to Hue in May 09. looking to rent a motor bike for a few days. can anyone reccomend a place? staying at the morin.

Close by the hotel Morin are motor rental shop.
Not to worry,very easy to rent a bike%26gt;%26gt;around 150cc.
get one with auto transmission,easy to move around without gear change.

Jimi I hired a bike and guide from ';Cafe on Thu Wheels'; The driver took my partner on his bike and I had my own. It was an excellent day with the guide and his knowledge. Prices were extremely reasonable and highly recommended.
Even if you don%26#39;t hire a bike through them go to their cafe for a drink or two and a chat. They happily provide you with any info you want. I think there is a pic on our website which shows their address.

I just got back from my second day out of a 3 day Motorbike ride trip with a loacl guide Quy who has his email but also works out of the Phuong Nan Cafe jusy a block off the main river road where the major tourist section is. I will write my lenghty travels with Quy in a bit after figuring out how we we did what we did. Quy has been vey well Recommended by others on the fourm and with the great response to my emails beforehand I booked his time for 3 days. I was riding up fom Da Nang on my on renetd motorbike and wanted Quy to lead me on the tour in Hue.
Bottom line is that Quy was awesome. He has some great tours set up but also offers some customized tours as well. He did this for me and though I can say my custom trip fits in with the top rankings of other life experiences ,I should have done one of his custome fours. Quy took care of things fromm A to Z while we were out.
After reading you emnai they will also rent you a motorbike if you want to ride alone as I did. Cost for the bikes are between 7 and 10 US dollars a day depending on the size of the bike. My bike which I did not get through them boke down and it was fixed withing 20 min of Quy taking charge and getting a Honda dealer to look at. Cost out the door ($5.00). The customer servive the dedication to talk to you and make sure the trip you are taking is what you want to do and then the way they extend themseles to make sure you are ok at all time.
I have so much more to say and will do so when I get a little more stability. Off in the am for a 4 hour tour with him and then My own bike ride back to Da Nang.
