Hanoi or HCMC??

Hi

my husband and i are travelling to vietnam via hong kong in october, we are not sure if we should fly into Hanoi or HCMC? we will be spending about 3 nights here. Depending on what city we choose we will then plan the rest of our trip around that. Any recommendations?

weather of the north is from 24 -32 oC,hot and humid, especially inland, which is not touched by cool coastal breezes. Tropical rain showers and the occasional typhoon are also possibilities - light clothes and an umbrella are recommended, you can have the trip, Hanoi city tour, sightseeing around it, overnight cruise in Halong bay

weather of the south is 24 - 31 oC, hot, humid and rainy but heavy downpours are usually short lived, you can enjoy a hustle Saigon, mekong floating market or Cu Chi tunnels.
