Airport Taxi Departure Tax

I%26#39;ve read a few postings that indicated a 5000 dong taxi departure tax. Can anyone confirm if this amount is correct?

I seem to remember drivers occassionally stopping at a booth on the way out the airport but to be honest have never paid too much attention to it. Bear in mind it sounds a lot but 5,000 VND is about 28 US cents.

Previously they collected that fee on your way in. Now on your way out.

Driver still asked me for another 5,000 VND when I arrived at airport, saying he needed to pay when he drove out. Small fee so no problem.

I paid fee - - %26gt; VND10,000/pax when go to airport

and taxi diver ask me more VND10,000 for fee when he back to city.

taxi cost from city to airport at usd15.. i think a bid higher compared with another friend in here got chepest.

Airport to Dist #1 is about 80k-100k $5usd - $7usd.
