shopping HCMC vs. Phnom Penh

Does anyone know if the shopping is better, meaning better buys, at the ben thanh market in HCMC or in the Russian Market in Phnom Penh? Do they have much of the same type of merchandise? We are interested in clothing and fabric including silk.

Thanks for the advice. Do you know the names of better shopping areas in HCMC. We%26#39;ll be there six days in July and I think that we might run out of museums and sights so we want to do some shopping.

HCM shopping is far better. There is a far better quality range of goods in Vietnam. Many clothing and silk shops in LEI LOI street near the markets.

We went to the Russian Markets there were a lot of silk shops at one end but not much clothing other than local. I think most silk was $7 a meter.
