We are planning a trip our second trip to Malaysia in June/July and as we%26#39;ve never been to Vietnam, have decided to include it in our itinerary.
We%26#39;ll probably have a week maximum for Vietnam, so any recommendations of cities, hotels and things to do would be appreciated. Also, would weather play a part in deciding what part of the country to visit during June/July?

A week can only be at one part of Vietnam, it will be start raining in North Vietnam but not with typhoon, so would recommend seeing Hanoi (2 days, Halong (2 days)and a bit of the mountains like Sapa or Pu Luong.
Flight is also easy from KL to Hanoi.
