Hanoi to Hue Train Trip

Hi Everyone,

Know there%26#39;s been alot of posts and topics regarding trains and train trips up and down VN.

My sister and I are travelling there in May and wanted to take the SE train from Hanoi to Hue but after reading the reviews it sounds like an experience even us Africans would call terrible!

We%26#39;re not fussy travellers but wanted to see a bit of the country, even though the trains run at night! Would anyone recomened this or perhaps ride the tourist train (Livitrans coach) I heard is pretty decent or is it better just to catch some wings and fly to Hue?

Any advise would be great.

Leopang is right, flight is short and you can really see more of Hue or Hanoi.

But if you like to save a night in Hue or Hanoi and save from the flight and transfers, etc... then Livitran is a good way.
