Good Central 3 * hotel Ho Chi Minh

Hi We are really struggling to find an affordable 3* hotel in a good location in Saigon, the prices seem crazy for places that look nothing special. I have found the Northern Hotel and Hotel Lavender but limted reviews or probelms with web sites are making it tricky. Does anyone have any suggestions ? basically modern, central and friendly, hope thats not too much to ask ! Cheers for any advice.

Try Elios hotel. Reasonable price, good service and very friendly staffs.

We stayed there during November%26#39;08. Very nice, modern 3* hotel and value for money

I would describe the An An as 3* and we thought it well located (see my review). Very clean and well appointed, great staff, has a lift but no pool. Breakfast not included but it%26#39;s right in the middle of a cafe district.

hi; you might enjoy the Lan Lan 2 Hotel or the Spring Hotel. Both offer free breakfast, Lan Lan 2 breakfast is rather nice. the Spring%26#39;s breakfast is basic, but good. Both hotels answered my e-mails quickly and held the room for me without any deposit. i think either one is a good choice.

Thanks everyone, your input has been much appreciated and given me a good few options.

Hi

Check out the reviews and website for The Spring hotel. We have stayed their three times and returning in May and June. Great location, great rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast

I stayed in the Metropole earlier this week for $110US per night including breakfast for a deluxe room. The hotel has a great pool area, clean rooms and huge buffet breakfast. It may be suitable for you.

We stayed in the VICTORY HOTEL for 8 days in January, and returned there for the odd 2 nights after various trip .... very good 3 star value, around $60 a night for a double with breakfast, and the added value is that is has a fairly decent, and very quiet and clean swimming pool on the top floor. Mainly Korean and Vietnamese guests, with the odd French tour groups who luckily only stayed for one night ... sorry French, not the most polite of tourists.

The hotel is very clean, they seem to shampoo the carpets at least once a week and the house maids were very helpful, and although they did not speak much English the reception staff were always considerate and willing to help. On our 2 return days, we still had the same room, and we left bags in their care whilst we went on ';walk abouts';..... all very safe, as was the area to walk around at night - excellent restaurant within easy walking.

War Remnant museum within close walking, and a mere 10 mins. max to the Cathedral and main drag of posh hotels such as the Rex.

We had a very good stay here.
