Vietnam Airlines --can't book online FREAKING OUT

I *thought* I booked a flight on Vietnam Airlines online only to be told at the end of my laborious session to proceed to a Vietnam Airlines ticket counter (IN Vietnam) within 24 hours or my reservation will be cancelled.

PLEASE tell me there is a way to book in-country flights thourhg Vietnam Airlines ahead of time, and online????

It doesn%26#39;t help to hotel reservations if i have no transport to and from the island. :(

Get on the TF Travel website to book internal flights - definitely use VN Airlines NOT Jetstar. Cheap, easy and very reliable...www.tftravel.com.vn

Why so negative all the time about Jetstar? They are cheap so you get exactly what you pay for. We%26#39;ve flown overseas with them several times without issue. Yes they planes are uncomfortable - but so are all planes in %26#39;cattle class%26#39;.

We flew to Saigon with them last Tuesday and arrived on time without incident and now I am in Hoi An again on Jetstar and again on time. In fact Vietnam airline flights were the ones with delays when we left Saigon - not Jetstar.

Just to clarify...Jetstar international flights are okay, (apart from now having to go via Darwin) and Star Class is awesome!!!

Unfortunately, my experiences with Jetstar flights within VN, have been far from satisfactory, continual schedule changes, without ANY advice and more often than not, delays.

The prices between the two airlines are very minimal, both are cheap and my experience with VN Airlines within Vietnam has always been great, however, their international flghts leave a lot to be desired...even in Business Class, it was VERY average!!

oubobcat, you might try what we have done for our next trip: Wanting to fly VN Airlines HCMC to Ha Noi as soon as we arrive in HCMC, we asked our hotel in Ha Noi to book the tickets for us. She has done this for a small comission and emailed us a code number to give the check in desk when we arrive at the airport in HCMC. This may work for you if you contact your hotel in Phu Quoc. Or Jason Superstar may be willing to organise the tickets, I believe he has for others.

If you have any problems and get stuck booking let me know i live in Hanoi I can help you out and book it all for you....Yeah VN airlines have only recently added the new feature to online booking for domestic flights only but haven%26#39;t quite got to the payment on line option yet...

( I used tftravel to book my flights, everything was ok )

Or you can try to ask your hotel to book a ticket for you, they always happy to help.

Is it mean you want to fly to Phu Quoc ?

Forget Jetstar, Vietnam airlines the only one who flies that route.

THANKS for posting that website to VN travel. It%26#39;s great to finally see VN airline flight times and fares. Woohoo!!

I hope everyone realises now that you can now do your own booking with Vietnam Airlines (effective 9th February) for domestic flights. You pay by c/c %26amp; just need to produce the same c/c at check-in.
