I would welcome suggestions on what to do in Vietnam for 10 days at Christmas. Will be with children aged 9 and 11 and would like a 50/50 mix of tropical, unspoit beaches and bustling markets, cities and interesting museums/temples. Many thanks in advance. We will be travelling from Singapore and on to Bangkok.

Suggested first time itinerary for family with 10 daysI%26#39;d say the best beach for the kids is Phu Quoc, which requires a short flight from HCMC. It%26#39;s quiet, the water is clean, and there are no big waves.
For a 10 nt stay, I%26#39;d recommend:
Hanoi - 2 nts
Halong Bay - 1 nt (the kids will love a night on the boat)
Hoi An - 2 nts (good mix of history, culture %26amp; beach)
Phu Quoc - 2 nts
Saigon - 3 nts (with 1 night in the Mekong Delta)
