Does anyone know where I can get a street map of HCMC tomake it easier to walk around?

It is hard to find an angel but it is not hard to find street map! Street map is almost everywhere ...

mloz we bought a street map at the war Remants Museum for 25c US, but more for a souvenir. I promise, we did heaps of walking, but never used it. (I couldn%26#39;t understand the names, nor was I able to get them from the street signs to marry them to the map. - %26amp; no comments about girls %26amp; maps, I%26#39;ve navigated the silverback throughout Australia and am chief map reader in our household, so I can use one!!!!!!!!)

Mloz we just followed our noses. We walked from big the markets into the city, and all about district 5 %26amp; district 1. Must admit some 2 hour walks ended up being 3 hour walks, but we seemed to always find our way back........ If you are thinking mainly district 1, it all seems to fall in place.......... we were surprised how quickly we found our way about there, and we weren%26#39;t staying in district 1.

ThemMonkeys, I would never ever comment about maps and girls because I am also the map reader/navigator (though my husband may object) in our family and the one who packs for everyone and gets everyone going, and so on and so forth...

Your hotel would give you a map of its location and the streets in its district

i wasnt lookin for a map ended up with 3 free maps all very good the first one fron the guy at immigration on arrival he said you been saigon before i said no warily as he reached below his counter i thought he was gonna produce his gun but presented me with a map and said you will need this then and enjoy your stay i thought it was a nice change as a lot of times immigration officers can be a bit alien like what a way to start first impressions i always say

Yes, immigration officers are now giving out free maps at the airport. Alternatively, pick up a copy of free listings mag The Word in various Saigon bars/restaurants, that has a good map in it too.
