Could you someone tell me what is the full moon festival. My husbad and I will be i Hoian on the 8 May, what should we expect? Is it something we in our 50%26#39;s want to be at or is it for the younger ones?

Thank you so much for that link. Yes we will enjoy that. Will getting accommodation be harder to get, we weren%26#39;t going to book.
It might be slightly busier than usual but so long as you have a selection of places you want to stay you should find something pretty easily. However to save you wandering around with luggage it might be better to book ahead. Most hotels have front desk staff with enough English to to deal with your enquiries and the reviews here are full of good ideas of where to stay at all levels of comfort and budget.
Is this festival celebrated in other places in Vietnam?
There%26#39;s the mid-Autumn Full Moon Festival which is country wide but Hoi An is the only place I know where they have one a month. It%26#39;s nice and very picturesque as lanterns are floated on the river and it makes for a nice atmosphere and great photo opportunities.
